History
Ngudle was the first person to have been killed whilst in detention. He joined Umkhonto We Sizwe after the ANC was banned and served became a Commander. He was arrested on 19 August 1963 and was badly tortured. He was transferred a week later to Pretoria Central Prison and died on 5 September 1963. The police claimed that it was suicide. He was also the first person to be banned posthumously.
