Nelson Mandela Foundation in partnership with AECI limited distributing food parcels to needy community members, also donating water tucks in Matsila Village, Borehole, Limpopo. The executive officer of Nelson Mandela Foundation Sello Hatang pushing the water tanks and AECI representatives and amongst the volunteers was Ndivhudzannyi Ralivhona, known as “Makhadzi” a South African singer.

Afrapix was a documentary photographers' collective established by a small group of black and white photographers and political activists in 1982. It played a seminal role in the development of a socially informed school of documentary photography in apartheid South Africa. The group produced some of the most compelling photographic statements on apartheid and the popular uprising in the 1980s.Some nine photographers are represented in this small collection.

The shoot was for a new experience on Airbnb, which will include guests doing a Mandela day activity

Day 1 at Boys and Girls club in Betrams. There were volunteers that posed as Airbnb guests to do the experience, which is Mandela Day, assisting the woman that prepares food for the children and learning to play the Marimba instruments.

Day 2 at Siyakhala garden. Mandela day experience where the guests are required to work in the garden.

The Nelson Mandela Foundation honoured the 10th anniversary of Madiba’s passing on 5 December with the 21st instalment of the Nelson Mandela Annual Lecture, with Nobel Peace Prize laureate Malala Yousafzai as the speaker. The lecture, held at the Joburg Theatre, attracted a diverse audience of local and international dignitaries, who warmly received Yousafzai's thought-provoking address. On the 8th of March 2022, the Nelson Mandela Foundation hosted an event to promote the recently published memoir of internationally renowned filmmaker Anant Singh, in partnership with Sanctuary Mandela. In conversation with Anant was internationally lauded South African anti-apartheid activist, actress, poet, director and author, Gcina Mhlope, and iconic South African musician and composer, Caiphus Semenya. The Foundation’s Chief Executive, Sello Hatang, facilitated the discussion.
