White certificate housed in maroon cylinder with silver border accents. Taken out of cylinder for preservation. Certificate has the red, silver, and orange seal of Aberdeen at the top (2 leopards). Certificate text, in red and black reads:
At Aberdeen the Twenty Ninth Day of November in the year One Thousand Nine Hundred Eighty Four in the presence of the Lord Provost and other members of the City of Aberdeen District Council
