During your incarceration and after, your concern and interest in the unity of educators in South Africa has been a beacon of hope.
We recognize that you voluntarily retired as President of the Republic of South Africa , but you remain tireless in your search for peace, stability, and social development in Africa and elsewhere, we sincerely hope that other heads of state will emulate the example you have set.
